The Tiste Andii did not exist on the same world during the K'Chain Che'Malle's prime—they arrived later via the warrens—so they were not adversaries in these ancient wars. By the time humans rose to prominence, the Che'Malle were largely erased from the surface world, leaving behind ruins that still hum with residual danger.
